I think i finally figured out how and why peoples items are losing enchantments.

Switching back and forth from Adventure, Survival and Nether worlds does not make you lose enchantments while they are in your inventory.

However switching from any of those worlds and creative world while enchanted items are in your inventory does cause you to lose your enchantments.

My guess is, the switch in inventories saves what items you got and returns them back when you return to that world, however it doesnt save what enchantments are on those items.

The plugin managing inventories has not yet been updated to a production release. Until it has we cannot safely update to it, and until we do update it drops your enchantments (and sometimes your Exp) whenever it has to swap out your inventory. i.e. when you switch to the creative world.
