What is a "16 Claim"?

I was at spawn and I looked at the different towns, villages, ect. avalible for purchase and I saw that the cheapest thing was a 16 Claim and I'd like to know what that is and how large it is. (I probably sound like a noob right now :P)

1 Claim is 16x16 block area.
16 claims is basically a 16 areas of 16x16.

You can claim any area adjacent to your current town borders. Yes, it has to be adjacent.

If you want another area, that is maybe like 500 blocks away, and you dont want to claim the land in between, you can buy an outpost and then claim land next to it.

does it have to be next to a town? do u have to have a town to own one?

In order to use extra claims you must first own a town.

As John said. first you need to own a town. Which cost 3,000 Kredits.

You gain 16 additional claims for each person that is added to your town.

You may buy up to 500 extra bonus claims. which is basically the same thing, just you can buy them instead.

A claim must be next to your town borders.

To buy a claim, you need to be a mayor or a the mayor's assistant i believe.
