Hello KoolSourcers!

First things first! The old reception area (up one level across from the Medic Bay, above the Craftbook Help Centre) has been transformed into an Inter-world Connection Hub! This means that from there, you can get to the Nether, Skylands and Creative (see below) worlds, and once 1.8 comes, PvP and Adventure Worlds! Simple walk inside the openings and you'll be transported to the relevant world.

Creative World!

We have a creative world now with a separate inventory from the SMP world, you can get there via the Connection Hub. Only Veterans can build in this world as an anti-griefing measure Have fun!

After a detailed and lengthy discussion, we decided to release the Creative World now, before 1.8 comes out, as it should be relatively easy to transfer it over to the new mode if it becomes available for multiplayer. We also opted to go for a flat world with an initial height of 18, with dirt and stone underneath for 15 layers (you can see the distribution if you leave the spawn building in the creative world), we did this for a number of reasons, the most deterministic of which are as follows:
First of all it will allow the creation of very large and tall structures without the need to block-by-block remove a chunk of land and do a lot of terraforming around the area (much like we had to do when we moved the spacestation from another part of the map :P) We want you to be able to start being creative from the get-go! (If you want a flaming skull fortress in the side of a mountain with lava dripping from its eyes, then make the mountain! - it can be hollow right?)
Secondly, we'd want to wait for 1.8 for the new terrain generator if we did it as a normal world
Furthermore, Its a creative world, everything there that you see will be created by KoolSource community, see a lovely mountain? Someone made that =D!

Creative Commands & Their Syntax:

Veterans:
/i [item id] - Give yourself an item (You MAY use TooManyItems to issue the /i command for you)
/i [item id]:[damage value] [item amount] - Give yourself a particular item with a damage value, eg coloured wool
/ci - Clears all of the items from your inventory

VIP:
/up [number] - jump up a number of blocks and spawn glass below your feet
/mc - Magic Carpet to fly on
// - Super pickaxe - instantly break any block with a pick

Any comments about the Creative World feel free to leave them here as a reply =D!

Chat Channels

You can join a chat channel to build with your friends, and leave the global chat channel, so that you're not spamming the global chat, and so that you yourself don't see global chat when you're only interested in what your build partners are saying.
For chat commands type /ch help in game, here are some:

/ch [channel] - Set your chat focus to the specified channel (/ch G = Global chat)
/join [channel] - Join the specified channel
/leave [channel] - Leave the specified channel

Channels: G (Global), L (Local), C1 (Chat 1), C2 (Chat 2)

Have fun =D!

For wool you can also use the name of it for example GreenWool, LightGreenWool or BrownWool. I find this much easier to remember than the color codes listed above.

This site is also very helpful. It is a list of the all the blocks with picture and item number (which you can use instead of the name)

Just expanding on the use of TooManyItems ...
  • Install the mod... http://www.minecraft...invedit-sep-14/ (at time of writing server is 1.7, be sure to pick the right file!!!)
  • Once installed, you need to edit the TooManyItems.txt file located in the base minecraft directory. Located in --> %appdata%\.minecraft\
  • Open said txt file and locate the line which starts with give-command... (3rd line) and replace with the following line:

Quote

give-command:/i {1}:{3} {2}

You should be all set now. You can now right-click for a single block or just left-click for a stack :D
