If you are getting:
Outdated Server Error
Then it means you are using the wrong client version.
Why?
Minecraft was recently updated, but we can only update KoolSource to new versions of Minecraft when all/most of our Mods can be updated as well, this can take days, depending on the update and the availability of developers to port the Mods.
FOR FUTURE MINECRAFT UPDATES, PLEASE POSTPONE UPDATING YOUR CLIENT UNTIL YOU'RE CERTAIN THE SERVER HAS BEEN UPDATED
Download MC 1.8.1
If you were lucky, you would not have auto-updated your client. Fortunately, there is a simple solution.
The Minecraft client that currently works on KoolSource is the same client you have been using until the latest MineCraft update, you can download it once again here, or use your own archived version.
UPDATED
Download link: http://www.koolsourc...current_client/
Download the minecraft.jar file
Install Instructions
On Windows:
1) Hit the Start button.
2) Type %AppData%\.minecraft\bin in the white search box, this takes you to the MineCraft folder.
3) There you will see a file named "minecraft.jar" and a file named "version".
4) Overwrite the minecraft.jar there with the version you downloaded from KoolSource.
On Linux / Mac:
1) Start Finder / Nautilus
2) Go to /home/USERNAME/.minecraft/bin (You may have to select View -> Show hidden files to see this).
3) There you will see a file named "minecraft.jar" and a file named "version".
4) Overwrite the "minecraft.jar" there with the version you downloaded from KoolSource.
Done! You can now run Minecraft as normal, do not double-click the .jar there, that is not the way to start MineCraft, just use the shortcut you had on your desktop or so.
To let your client auto-update again, when KoolSource has upgraded, or for whatever reason, simply delete the "version" file I showed you above, and then start MineCraft.
