This game looks amazing, and thats coming from someone who is not a huge fan of the Battlefield series, maybe its the FrostBite 2 Engine that makes it more appealing to me.

Battlefield 3 is due for release for PC, PS3 and Xbox on 28/10/2011 and if you pre-order the digital download copy you get to play the game 48 hours before anyone else.

I'll most likely end up getting it (I liked Bad Company 2 well enough. Shotgun sniper!) Although, I'll need to upgrade my PC. currently running Core2Duo e8400 with 4 gigs ram and an ATI HD 4830 GPU. So yeah, this machine is a couple years old now and while it can play the games today its not as awesome as I'd like. I7 2600k 16gigs ram and 6950 inc! (At least that is what I'm working on acquiring.)

BF3 No Game Menus

If you are planning on getting this game i suggest you take a look at this first. Yes that is right. You don't have any menus. That means you have to alt tab or close the game to change setting, volume, and to change servers. They are claiming its great because you can access the game menu from anywhere in the world. But what the fuck are you going to do? Change your volume settings while you are riding in the car on your cellphone?
Another example of retarded console developers not understanding the Pc gamers mindset. If you do get this game get it on console or don't get it at all. As for me I won't even be looking at this game in the future.

Actually changed my mind about this one after reading the origin EULA. Basically EA plants malware on your system and monitors what programs you install, uninstall, and your usage of them. No thanks, origin is a bad system in itself and I'd rather not pay have malware on my system. Guess I'll just play something else.
